Panasonic LX5 compact addresses LX3 issues
The Lumix DMC-LX5 provides a long-awaited update to its relatively old, enthusiast-geared, compact camera, the LX3. Because the LX5's specs are so similar to the LX3's, a justifiable first response would be "meh." But Panasonic's made some important changes to the camera that I think will make it a lot stronger and more competitive than its predecessor. Read more
Fujifilm's ultimate compact megazoom?
Now a little more than a year old, the company is rolling out the follow-up to the F200EXR--the F300EXR. It's a significant refresh, too, taking the camera's zoom from 5x to 15x and widening its lens from 28mm to 24mm (35mm equivalent), but keeping the body the same 0.9-inch thickness. Read more
Panasonic's TS10 is a little rugged for less money

The other type wants something more durable than a regular ultracompact and less expensive, too. Read more

Best cameras for recording HD videos at concerts?
Posted by laguy03
I'm going to a couple of concerts soon and I was thinking about getting a camera for recording HD (720p) videos. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it better to get a point-and-shoot camera (i.e. Panasonic Lumix) or a pocket camcorder (Flip UltraHD)? I want to get the best video possible. Thanks in advance!  Read more
