Cameras that remember where you were

Unless you're already geotagging your photos--adding geographical identification metadata--you may not fully appreciate why it's worth doing. For everyday shooting, attaching information such as latitude and longitude coordinates and place names is probably not that exciting. But, if you do a lot of traveling, hiking, or other activities where you might want to remember where you were, then it's a great feature to have.

Video quality on the new line of HD digital cameras

I am looking to purchase a new digital camera. I have noticed that some of the new ones advertise that they take video in HD. Is this true HD quality as if you are watching a HD show on TV? Is the video playback quality as good as if I were to purchase a second camcorder? I would like to just have one camera that does both. On my current camera (4 years old) the picture quality is fantastic still, but the video quality is not very good. Very choppy.  Read more
