I am now in the position that I need to somehow archive my video to disk. I have read many posts regarding AVCHD and placing it on standard DVDs, but the amount is limited to around 30 minutes on a single-layer DVD. I have also read about burning to Blu-ray disk, but the drawback is the cost of the disks themselves. Before I purchase any more equipment like a Blu-ray burner or a better computer to handle the AVCHD video, I wanted to get opinions as to the best way to go.
