Acorn is an easy-to-use, but still relatively feature-filled, image editor that provides a lower-cost alternative to professional editing programs. With its slimmed-down interface--just a single palette and a document window--Acorn feels much like Apple's iLife applications, while still providing a full array of editing features. Grab this latest update that includes bug fixes and minor enhancements to the interface.

Also this week we have the latest update for File Juicer, a unique utility that lets you extract (just the) multimedia files from archives full of documents. Our game this week is iConquer, the strategy board game remake that closely resembles the popular game Risk.

Don't forget to check out our iPhone apps of the week!
