In keeping with its recent pledge to churn out updates faster than ever, Google quietly revved the developer's version of its Chrome Web browser last week. Just a few weeks after the beta amped up to version 6, the dev is now at version 7. The update includes some small tweaks to the Wrench options menu on Mac and IP addresses typed into the location bar work when browsing in offline mode.

Also of note over the past week is our tutorial on using the latest feature in Firefox 4 beta 4: Panorama. This new tab-grouping feature makes it much easier to manage tabs, and you can find out how to use it in this video. Plus, Microsoft's IE9 look leaked to the Web last week. The company's Russian subsidiary was kind enough to briefly post an image and some details that had yet to be shared about the browser.

On the multimedia software front, we saw an important announcement about Roxio Creator 2011. The latest version of the production and editing suite will let you edit 3D images and videos as well as create 3D pics from 2D versions. However, if standard photos are more up your alley, you might be more interested to hear about Adobe's update to Photoshop Express, a Web-based complement to its desktop photo editor.
