With the much-hyped Apple event only a day away, people are probably checking their bank account balances and credit card limits to see if they can swing buying what most believe will be the long-awaited Mac tablet. I just might be able to take the leap under the right circumstances, but I'll have to wait like everyone else for the details and price of the not-yet-officially announced device. Other possible announcement rumors point to a new iPhone operating system and even a new iPhone, though new iPhones usually come out in June, making the possibility of a January announcement for new hardware pretty slim. Either way, once again, Apple has its fans waiting with bated breath to see just what is next.
To keep busy while we wait for the big announcement, check out this week's picks from Download.com. Little Snitch just got an update to help keep your system safe by tracking every time a program contacts the Internet. Transmission also received some tweaks, making the popular BitTorrent client easier to use than before. Our game this week is Toribash, the partly frustrating, partly hilarious fighting game in which you control every muscle movement.
