One accidental mouse click, any unintentional hit of a button, or a scratched disc... that's all it takes and your favorite photos or business documents are lost forever!

Nero 2014 is your saving grace: We'll help you get your files back in a snap, if they're not yet completely destroyed. The wonder-tool we're talking about is "Nero RescueAgent", part of our Nero suite:

	Restore previously deleted files

	Makes filthy and scratched CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays readable again

	Restores files from damaged hard discs

	Gets data back from damaged USB thumb drives

	Helps restore files, even when they've been previously deleted from Windows®' recycle bin

That's because even when you've deleted files from Recycle Bin, they may still be intact on your hard disc. If they weren't overwritten or if the medium (CD, DVD, Blu-ray) isn't too severely damaged, chances are that Nero RescueAgent is able to restore them. In this week's edition of the Nero newsletter, we'll show you how it works…

RESTORE ACCIDENTALLY DELETED FILES IN A SNAP…

Using Nero 2014, you'll easily restore your files. Here's how it works:

	Open Nero 2014 and click on "Nero RescueAgent" (Note: you need to be the computers administrator!). First, select the drive you want to restore your files from (your own hard disc or a Blu-ray drive). You can decide to go for the "Fast scan" (less thorough) or the "Deep scan" (more thorough) method – note: Deep scan will take a while to complete!

	Wait for the results! Nero RescueAgent browses through your damaged media and hard discs to find every restorable bit…

	Click on "Next". You'll see the folder structure of your medium, for example: a USB thumb drive.

	Click on a folder or file you'd like to rescue – or check the entire drive (in case of a scratched CD or damaged USB drive). Next, click on the folder icon next to "Recovery Destination" and decide where you want to save your restored files to, for example: your "Desktop". Nero RescueAgent will detect if file names have become cryptic after detection and will automatically ask you to rename them.

	Hit "Next". You can now easily browse through your rescued files using Windows® Explorer.

Unfortunately, in some cases these files may be irrecoverable… so before the next crash strikes, you should back up your precious memories using Nero BackItUp 2014 today! Then, no matter what happens, your files will be digitally secure on our servers and everything will be fully retrievable.
